Last Day in FL & Trip Home

Saturday was our last day in FL which is always sad for me. I tend to get into a sad/depressed mood on our last day because I really want to just stay. Every time we are in FL we always talk about the possibility of moving down there at some point down the road and this trip was no different. Ben told me to hurry up and win lottery and then we could move down to FL so I guess that means I need to start buying a lottery ticket every week. We had to be at the airport around 5pm for out 7pm flight so we had most of the day to get packed and do something.

One of the family members in FL was having his 4th birthday party on Saturday so we got a chance to go there for a while before leaving for the airport. They have a pool at their house so we spent most of the 2 hours in the pool. Then we had to get dried and changed to head to the airport.

The boys fell asleep in the car about 15 minutes before we made it to the airport and Zak was very mad when we woke him up to get out of the car. We got everything onto the luggage cart and said our good-byes. Then we got checked in, through security, and had some dinner at the airport. Ryder and I then walked to the bar near our gate to watch the Kentucky Derby. I really should have let Ben make a bet when he went with Chuck to the dog track to place his bet. I had predicted the winners would be Super Saver (#4), Paddy O'Prado (#10), and Jackson Bend (#13). The actual winners were Super Save (#4), Ice Box (#2), and Paddy O'Prado (#10).

On the flight the boys were awake the entire time which was very different from the flight there when they slept the whole time. They definitely were not the worst behaved kids I have ever seen on a plane, but they were not the best behaved either. Both had a good amount of energy, but were tired which causes them to be cranky. Our flight got in about 15 minutes early, but once we had our luggage and made it outside Laura was there waiting to pick us up. We went back to her house to pick up the dogs and then headed home. The boys fell asleep in the car and we were able to move them to their beds without waking them up so they were obviously very tired. Ben went to bed as soon as he got the dog crates set up, but I had trouble sleeping. I took a shower, got online and watched TV until I was able to fall asleep around 2am or so. The cat was very loud and walked around our bedroom crying (she is deaf so she talks VERY loudly) so it made sleeping pretty difficult. I think she was just excited to see us and I was not used to her loud talking throughout the night since we had been away for the week.

The boys woke up around 8am. We had a slow start to the morning, but once we all got dressed we headed out. We need to make a trip to BJ's for some much needed things around the house including food. Once we got home and unloaded the car I headed back out to the grocery store to get WIC stuff and some more food. Now the boys are playing in their playroom and I am hoping to get our luggage unpacked and a load of laundry done.

Tomorrow we all start back into our normal routine of work, therapy, play group and what not. Other than the "normal" activities we also have an appointment at Hopkins for Ryder with the Immunologist on Friday morning. Then once Ben gets home from work on Friday I am going to hang out with Tracy and baby Kyle for a while. I got Kyle something from Disney and I need some cuddle time with the cutie since I have not seen him since the night he was born!
