Yesterday we spent the day at the zoo in DC. We left the house at 8am and headed to the Greenbelt Metro station. The boys loved watching the trains go by, but thought it was really neat to ride on the "choo choo". We had to switch onto a second train and then we arrived at the station just down the road from the zoo. We walked around and saw lots of animals such as a sloth bear, elephants, all kinds of monkeys, zebra, panda bear, fish and so on. The boys loved seeing all of the animals and Zak would get very excited when he was the first to spot some of the animals who liked to hide. At one exhibit Zak stood up in the stroller, got a big grin on his face and yelled out "A ROCK!". Everyone around us started laughing because nobody could find an animal at this exhibit, but Zak was happy to find a rock. I took a ton of pictures so I can't post them all on the blog. Here is a link to a photo album that has several of the pictures...
Here are a few of my favorite pictures and some pictures of the boys enjoying themselves
Ben left this morning for TN and will be home late Friday night. Then the four of us fly out to FL Saturday at 12:30pm. That leaves me alone to do all of the packing and organizing for the trip to FL. This week Ryder has several therapy sessions since we will be away all next week. I also want to get the boys' haircut which I am half done with since I got Ryder's cut today.
